its New Years Eve!

Wow it  seems as if time has passed by so fast. But to be honest I hope next year would be a bit more better compared to this year I have been through some ups and some crazy miserable downs. some things that have happen that I thought would never ever happen actually did and now I'm using it as a learning experience and there is nothing wrong with that. When it comes to my weight of course I haven't lost any, neither have I gained. which I cant say it's a good thing since one of my major goal is to lose weight! but when it comes to not working and having to depend on others it can be quite difficult if that a hindering process that I'm trying to get myself out of by looking for work but  hardly ever anyone is hiring so now I'm just desperate.  but once I do find work I would be able to focus on taking care of me once and for all. I can't allow myself to be like this and be in area  that I'm not even happy, I just can't keep neglecting myself too man

Black women and weight

It is not unusual or unknown for black women to have weight problems. sometimes I wonder why are there so many Black women that are overweight or Obese? to some point I wonder when it comes to the weight do we as black women self sabotage our own health for the sake of being thick or just not wanting to be skinny. or is it the "big is beautiful mantra" Some people may think the reason why so many black women are overweight because Black men are known to like big butts or breasts. not that I'm trying to say black men are the cause or its their fault. but when it comes to black men liking big butts or breasts I would say that its just a minor myth or something silly that people made up because after all you cant speak for everyone and their preference or desires. or could it be that black women just don't want to sweat out their perms or relaxers or is it cause of food and the prices since the bad stuff such as white flour is cheaper. I'm not trying to degrade

Dietary changes

Hey all! I'm just not sure about going all out primal. and I havent been strict on my diet like I should however what I decided to do was to do a combination of Primal, low gi, and Low carb.. Yeah I know that does sound confusing but hey I always go by the saying "Do whatever that works for you." when I think of primal it is kind of like Low gi since it is heavily based on Vegetables and meat but the thing is Low gi includes some carbohydrate sources such as bread, rice pitas, which is why the Primal way of eating can be considered low carb. but when I think of it I might as well go for lowcarb but I love my oatmeal and mini wheats and most importantly I love my beans since they do fill me up very well and control my appetitie. I know for sure I would how to watch my starchier carb sources such as potatos but if anything I would cut back on those things of course! I just would not eat any rice. and when it comes to bread or pitas and such they would have to be lowcarb.

I'm 22 years old in college pursuing my associates degree in Medical Assisting and for long as I can remember I never in my life had been at a normal weight range. all the way from starting as a kid to what I am now I always been overweight. I tried just about everything.. diet pills, starvation, low calorie diets, pescatarian, vegetarian, low carb,  the Fat smash diet by Dr.Ian. Some of them worked well for me while others I failed all miserably! Now I'm thinking about going low carb diet with some focuses on being primal Primal with hardly ever any grains. and maybe some oatmeal here and there with my favorite shredded wheats since cant fathom the thought of not having those two as part of my breakfast. so basically what I'm trying to do is focus on being on a low carb diet and have my carbohydrates focused mainly on fruits and vegetables little grains. and having healthy fats such as olive oil and lean prote
